Sunny
Boy grid-tie inverters are manufactured in Germany and are
currently the state-of-the-art. They are designed for modular
design systems allowing one high voltage series string of solar
modules to be directly connected to the inverter. This vastly
simplifies the installation and saves money. There is no parallel
mismatching and allows you to precisely monitor each individual
module string. |
Other
features of the Sunny Boy family of grid-connection inverters are:
* Peak efficiency of up to 94%
* The ability to actually increase the PV-system efficiency 1 to
3%
* System monitoring and diagnosis remotely via power line to your
PC
* Ability to operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -25C to
+60C
* Indoor or outdoor mounting with a Protection Class IP65

typical Grid-Tie inverter system would consist of:
* A Sunny Boy 2500D or U (with or without display)
* A 600v disconnect between the Inverter and the Array (required
by code)
* A Sunny Boy Control (3 different models are available)
NOTE:
This system example is a very high voltage system (250-550v), requiring
installation by a qualified electrician. |
